Help Wanted: Foothills PTA Board 2010-2011

Hey all you Foothills Mustangs! We're so excited March is here. I don't know about the rest of you, but I get a burst of energy in March as I look forward to warmer weather, spring flowers, and getting outside more. We hope you are all feeling energized and are looking forward to spring as well. Hopefully renewed energy can be put to good use by our students in the classroom and by parents volunteering at the school! We're working on organizing next year's PTA board and need some energetic volunteers to help out. Please look over the attached flyer about what positions are available next year and think about how you can be involved in PTA! Happy spring!

Help Wanted!

Foothills PTA Board is currently recruiting volunteers for the 2010-2011 school year PTA Board. We’d love to have some fresh, new faces sign up to be involved. We need help in the following areas:

President – Don’t be scared off, it’s really not that bad…you just need to have a few organization and leadership skills and a desire to be involved at Foothills!

President Elect – shadow the current president and learn the ropes to step in as the following year’s president.

Treasurer – do you have some good budgeting and organization skills? Help keep track of PTA income and expenses and other financial needs.

Membership Coordinator – help recruit PTA members and collect membership dues.

Health Commissioner – coordination vision and hearing screenings and the Maturation Program

Newsletter Editor – help organize and put out a monthly newsletter to parents

Field Day Coordinator – coordinate our fun Field Days at the end of the year (in the spring).

Room Parents Coordinator – organize room parents for the teachers, help with volunteer needs, classroom parties and Teacher Appreciation week.

Please don’t think that you need lots of spare time to do one of these tasks…each position requires just a little of your time but can make a big difference in our school! Please let us know what you are interested in helping with.
